Santa Cruz River Park 1161 W Silverlake Rd Tucson, AZ 85713It’s Save our Saguaros month! Join Tucson Clean & Beautiful and community partners on Saturday, February 17th, 9am-12pm for a Santa Cruz River Restoration and Clean Up!
Join us for a day of connecting with the Santa Cruz River and community as we celebrate biodiversity and remove invasive species from the Paseo de Las Iglesias Pima County Restoration Area.
Like past days of connection the intention is celebrating the rich connectivity that makes our watershed so culturally and ecologically unique! In support of Save our Saguaros month we are focusing specifically on celebrating the amazing biodiversity of the Sonoran Desert and the Santa Cruz River Watershed and how to assist in its conservation.
Our meet-up location is at 1161 W Silverlake Rd. The event will focus on educating the community about why removing invasive species, such as buffelgrass, is so important to protecting our native Saguaros. Children under 18 years old must attend with an adult.
