Day of Connection: Rillito River & Pima Wash Cleanup

Join Tucson Clean & Beautiful and our community partner, REI on Saturday, December 9th for a Rillito River Day of Connection!  Team members from both TCB and REI will be hosting this trash clearing and invasive species removal event in the Pima Wash where it empties into the Rillito River (just east of Children’s Memorial Park).  If you have never been down into the Rillito sand beds, you won’t want to miss this opportunity. The event will focus on pulling out accumulated items as well as removing some invasive species.  Children under 18 years old must attend with an adult.

Meeting spot is Children’s Memorial Park, 4875 N 15th Pl, Tucson, AZ 85704

Please wear close-toed shoes (boots would be beneficial due to sand), a hat, sunscreen, and bring along a refillable water bottle (to reduce plastic waste). We supply all necessary tools, gloves, and filtered drinking water. Plus a few surprises.
