Barrio Anita Tree Planting

Join Tucson Clean and Beautiful for a neighborhood tree planting in Barrio Anita on Saturday, September 30th from 9am-11am!

Our team will be meeting at the Oury Center located at David G. Herrera and Ramon Quiroz Park, 655 N Hughes St, Tucson, AZ 85701.

Please wear close-toed shoes, a hat, sunscreen, and bring along a refillable water bottle (to reduce plastic waste). We supply all necessary tools, gloves, and filtered drinking water.

Tucson Clean and Beautiful in collaboration with Mayor Romero’s Tucson Million Trees Initiative is dedicated to increasing equity by creating more green spaces and tree canopy in frontline and low-income communities in Tucson that are most impacted by the effects of climate change and extreme heat. Help increase our city’s tree canopy, build strong communities and support Mayor Romero’s Tucson Million Trees initiative by volunteering to plant trees! Tree planting is fun for all ages, and volunteers always leave with a sense of accomplishment knowing they’ve made an impact that lasts generations.
