The Climate Action Leader Summer Program is a great way for young people between the ages of 13-17 to beat the heat with field trips, connect with community leaders, and make new friends with similar interests. Click here to apply!
Every week Climate Action Leaders explore both wild and urban ecosystems to learn more about our environment while connecting with community members and organizations to broaden our skills and experiences. CAL leaders will work to create a youth-led map of Tucson, a climate action leader zine and digital stories that help share their connection to the land, community and the careers they want to explore.
Weekly programs run from 8AM-2PM daily on Tuesday through Friday, the first three weeks of June 2025! Participants will meet every day at the TCB office located at 1360 E Irvington Rd. Free lunch is included with every program as well as a $100 cash stipend for completing the summer program!

CAL is a great summer program for young people who are interested in joining year-round paid environmental learning opportunities like the TCB Youth Tree Leader program where participants can be paid weekly to plant trees with community members!
There are 20 spots and they are filling-up so please sign up if you are interested or feel free to share with any Tucson youth that you think would be a good fit.
This program has been made possible for Summer 2025 by the City of Tucson and funds provided by the People, Communities, and Homes Investment Plan initiative.
