RUMBA Recycled Art Contest

RUMBA (Re-Used Materials Becoming Art)  is an art contest with a public display and is a fun educational program held annually by Tucson Clean & Beautiful.  The “Recycled Art” competition is free and open to all students in kindergarten through 12th grades. Projects may be submitted individually or as a group. Local dignitaries judge the students’ work and prizes are awarded across a range of categories.

College students, community groups and professional artists are welcome to submit their works for inclusion in the public RUMBA display, however their works will not be judged.  Exhibition of professional art is free of charge, and at the discretion of Tucson Clean & Beautiful. Sales of displayed materials are not permitted in the display area, however business cards may be left with the displayed items.

The next RUMBA contest and display is being planned for the SAHBA Home Show to be held Friday, April 7-Sunday, April 9, 2017. Registration is available through March 22, 2017, with artwork to be delivered to TCB’s booth at the Tucson Convention Center from 12:00-5:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 6, 2017.
