Climate Equity Workforce Leadership

Tucson Clean and Beautiful is happy to announce that our organization is one of the three recipients nationwide awarded the American Forests Tree Equity Workforce Network Pre-Employment Program Grant which has allowed TCB to forge an exciting new tier of paid climate action and adaptation opportunities for climate vulnerable young adults.

Tucson Clean and Beautiful is excited to launch our Climate Equity Workforce Leadership Program (CEWL).

The CEWL program is a 6-month paid workforce education experience consisting of weekly onsite green career development training, applied arboriculture and green infrastructure fieldwork, and community-based action events. This program aims to serve Tucsonans between the ages of 18-26, searching for part-time employment, who are hoping to explore climate adaptation industries while gaining transferable workforce skills. No college degree is necessary whatsoever – we are seeking passionate, kind and curious learners.

Weekly units consist of a hybrid model that prioritizes fieldwork and hands-on paid work experience in urban forestry and green stormwater infrastructure, as well as community engagement and personal development.
