Save our Saguaros month is from February 3rd through March 9th, 2024!
That means we need your help removing buffelgrass and fountaingrass, two invasive grasses that are the most immediate threat to our beloved saguaro. Join Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum, Tucson Clean & Beautiful, TON Natural Resources Department, Pima County Natural Resource Department, Pima County Cooperative Extension for a morning of education, fun and making a difference!
Meeting Location: Sentinel Peak Park 1001 S. Sentinel Peak Rd., Tucson AZ 85745
What is Provided: All necessary tools and gloves will be provided for you to tackle the grass!
What to Bring: Bring a full refillable water bottle (FULL) and a snack or lunch. We strongly encourage the use of non-disposable water bottles as a pro-environmental measure.
What to Wear: Sturdy shoes, long sleeves, long pants, and a hat. Dress for the weather. You may need a rain jacket.
Register here via the Desert Museum.
