Join us for a morning of community stewardship as we plant vegetation in new Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) basins along S. Belvedere Ave near Roberts-Naylor K-8 School.
These basins are designed to capture and absorb stormwater runoff, helping recharge groundwater and bring more greenery into our neighborhood streets. By planting native vegetation, volunteers will help transform these basins into living infrastructure that supports cleaner water, healthier soil, and more beautiful urban spaces.
This is a great opportunity to get your hands in the soil, connect with neighbors, and contribute to a greener Tucson. No prior planting experience is necessary, staff will provide guidance, tools, and all the materials needed.
