Tucson Million Trees

HELP PLANT THE FUTURE!

Every Saturday during planting season (October – March) we plant up to 100 trees at once, one neighborhood at a time.  Two hours of planting with with neighbors, youth leaders, and volunteers move us closer to our goal of shading and cooling Tucson’s future, especially in Tucson’s hottest neighborhoods.   future.  Volunteer with us, donate, plant trees at your home, help us plant a million trees!

Mayor Regina Romero’s Tucson Million Tree initiative is critically important to Tucson’s future.  Tucson is one of the fastest-warming cities in the country and we are already feeling the effects.  Mayor Romero’s initiative underlines the urgency of planting trees to help ensure a livable city for future Tucsonans. Extreme heat is a threat to our public health, our economy, and our way of life. Trees provide many benefits:  they save us money while shading and cooling our homes, they improve air quality, make neighborhoods walkable, and outdoor spaces usable.  All desert denizens deserve the food, refuge, and habitat that trees provide.
