Punica granatum

The pomegranate is a shrub or small tree growing between 6 and 20 feet in height at maturity. The edible fruit is in season from September to October. Mature pomegranates can develop sculptural twisted bark multi trunks and a distinctive overall form. The pomegranate is drought tolerant and can be tolerant of moderate frost down to 10 °F.
