Small shrubby tree producing edible berries in the late spring/early summer. Only the dark blue berries are edible. Do not eat the green berries. Drought deciduous, meaning it can drop its leaves during periods of drought but will re grow them after getting watered. Depending on winter rains and watering regiment, should hold its leaves throughout the winter.
