Eysenhardtia orthocarpa

  The Kidneywood is a large deciduous shrub that can be shaped into a small tree with early structural pruning when desired. Native to the southwest and Mexico, it is very drought resistant and does well with minimal supplemental watering(once established). The kidneywood sports white spikes of flowers in the spring that attract butterflies with their scent, often compared to the fragrance of vanilla.
