Tucson Clean and Beautiful and the Southern Arizona Buffelgrass Coordination Center have teamed up with the Red Cross to host this project in the Tucson Park West Neighborhood. We’ll be digging out buffelgrass (a noxious weed) and other invasives. Buffelgrass poses a high fire risk – when dry it is highly flammable. By removing buffelgrass we will not only beautify the area but we will also be preventing dangerous brushfires. Must wear closed-toe shoes and long pants. Long-sleeved shirts suggested. Bring gloves and a shovel if possible (if not, loaner gloves and tools will be available). Please bring hat, sunscreen, and refillable water bottle. No children under 12. To volunteer email:
