Choose Your Activity and Explore Danny Lopez Park!
We will be gathering on Sunday morning, September 27 from 7-9 am at the SOUTHERN end of the lake. When you drive into the park, take the first right and follow this all the way around behind PACC until you get to the meeting spot parking. Use THIS LINK for detailed location.
We will be walking around the two lakes at the park. Folks can pick up trash and/or invasive apple snails, search for dragonflies and birds, and learn how to use the iNaturalist and Merlin apps. No experience necessary, appropriate for any age. The path around the lakes is mostly hard dirt and gravel but can be muddy or steep next to the water. The park has restrooms. Wear/bring: sturdy shoes, refillable water bottle, hat. Feel free to bring binoculars or butterfly net, trash tools/gloves if you have. We will supply trash tools and bags.
Please arrive at the meeting location 10 MINUTES EARLY for check-in. Teams will depart at 7 AM sharp! We would love to have any youth groups join us.
