Saving the Adopt A Park form to your phone

The Adopt A Park and Public Areas Volunteer Report form can easily be accessed, filled out, and submitted to us by using your mobile device, regardless of operating system and without downloading any software to your phone. For leaders that have to report more frequently, we suggest adding the form to your phone in the form of a desktop icon. It will show up on your phone just like an app, but won’t take up any storage space on your phone, and will open up in a web browser for you to easily fill out and not worry about having to download or update an app to your phone. Adding the link to your phone is easy, and is outlined below for the most common smartphone operating systems.

Apple iOS

To save the form to your iPhone or iPad as a desktop icon, you will need to open up the form in Safari (this will not work with any other browser on iOS, you must use Safari). Once the page is loaded up in Safari, simply tap the share button (The share button looks like a square with an arrow pointing up. It’s located in the bar at the top of an iPad screen, or the bar at the bottom of an iPhone screen), and from the options, select “Add to Home Screen.” From there, you can name it whatever you’d like, tap save, and then you can move it wherever you’d like, including app folders.

Android

From the Chrome browser, open up the form, tap the menu button, then tap “Add to homescreen”. From there, you can name it whatever you’d like, tap save, and then you can move it wherever you’d like, including app folders.  From the Firefox browser on Android it’s just one more tap: Menu>Page>Add to Home Screen.

Windows Phone

From a Windows Phone, open up the form in Internet Explorer, tap the “More”(…) button, and tap “Pin to Start”.
