Loop Litter Scavenger Hunt with REI

Since 2017, REI has adopted two sections of the Rillito River Park through the Tucson Clean & Beautiful Adopt-A-Public Site Program. Join both groups along with the City of Tucson for a brief recognition of REI’s commitment. Afterwards, grab a trash bag and join the clean-up efforts to make Tucson a bit “greener” on St. Patrick’s Day! Gloves, trash bags & trash-grabbers provided. Stewardship t-shirts, prizes for trash collection, Trees for Tucson raffle & snacks. All ages welcome (under 16 requires adult supervision). For 34 years, Tucson Clean & Beautiful assists organizations, like REI, in adopting parks, streets, washes, and other public areas throughout Tucson. Dedicated volunteers have provided 300,000+ service hours at hundreds of sites, including 30,883+ hours in 2018 alone. This unique public-private partnership helps to keep our public areas cleaner and safer for all to enjoy. Tucson Clean & Beautiful is a nonprofit organization, incorporated in 1985 as the flagship for community based environmental volunteer efforts in Tucson. Its programs have grown to address recycling and waste reduction, urban forestry, land stewardship, invasive plant removal, and beautification.
